One of the regulatory factors involved in this project was a commitment on the part of the forest service to monitor recovery of the skidding zone. Try as we might to avoid the propagation of non-native weed species there is always that chance. Neither would we want to see erosion inadvertently start at the work site. These are just some of the concerns addressed in the follow up monitoring work.
