There is tremendous potential for local economies that were once based on the logging industry to be revitalized based on restoration ecology practices. We need the forest and the forest needs us. There is an unbelievable amount of work to be done out there to restore not only streams and rivers but forests and fields. We've got to make it pay in order for it to be a viable option for our rural forest communities.
