This tree is an excellent choice for restoration work. It is gnarly and large in diameter. Extracting large wood requires real sensitivity on the part of everyone involved. Minimal impact is the motto of the day. A unskilled faller will hang up the tree among the other large living ones. Then the tree is twice as unpredictable and dangerous as before.
