Pioneer Yoke Features

This is a dynamic yoke. It's main design feature is that it allows the ox team to rhythmically sway their bodies in a fashion that evens out the flow of their combined weight as they plod with a plow or wagon load. Here the mobile yoke bows are extended outward.

Details of the extended mode.

Here is the retracted mode that draws the team toward the center of the load. This work exceptionally well when the work is being carried out on a hill side. It eliminates the possibility of the team thrusting their weight toward the downhill side of the work location and throwing the whole works down hill.

If you closely observed the previous gallery image you noticed the bows were of two different settings. This is indicative of hillside plowing also.
